What to Expect

Getting Started Your first visit

What we do at our office is very unique and different compared to most other health providers and medical doctors.  However, we believe it is what we do different that helps us get such amazing results with our patients. Although we consider ourselves experts at what we do, we certainly don’t pretend to be experts at treating every health issue or condition.  Therefore, our first step is to determine if your case is something that fits under our umbrella of expertise.

It is impossible for us to accept every case as we are limited with both our time slots and how many hours there are in a day, which is why we are very selective in who we accept for care.  However, we do offer every potential client a free phone consult with Dr. Thompson to find out if their condition is something he believes he can help and if he believes they would have the commitment necessary to achieve success in regaining their health with our program.

Before your arrival

All new patients are requested to fill out, read and sign the new patient application forms as completely as possible.  These can be filled out by clicking here.

It is important that we have your paperwork completed before your appointment.  This will allow Dr. Thompson the time to become familiar with your case before you arrive and it will also minimize any time you may have to wait in the office.

Day one: Your first appointment

When you first arrive you will have the opportunity to watch a quick “welcome” video which will explain what we will be looking doing on today’s visit. Next, one of our friendly staff members will give you a quick tour of the office so you fee comfortable. Then, either Doctor Thompson or our Patient Assistant will perform some orthopedic tests and/or a nerve scan(s). Then, after all of the testing is complete you will have a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Thompson and he will go over the results of those tests. If a that time the doctor doesn’t believe there is a need for x-rays then he will begin treatment if he believes he can help. If the doctor thinks that x-rays are needed then he will order those at this time. (We have the ability to do digital x-rays on site and at that time). If x-rays were performed the doctor sill have to have you come back to go over the results of what your x-rays revealed. An appointment that we call a “review & Scheduling appointment” (This is usually done later that day or the next day).

Review & Scheduling appointment

At this appointment you will meet with the doctor to discuss your health issues and goals, uncover any layers of past damage to help determine what may be causing your problem(s), show you what was found on your radiographs, and discuss what options for treatment are available to you. Depending on your goals and what you decide you want to do for care in our office we will then set up any future appointments for you in needed.

Typical Office Visit

After Dr. Thompson has developed an individualized plan of attack for getting your health back on track and has given you instructions on how to perform any in office therapy needed you will be ready to begin correcting your problem(s).  Our goal is not only to provide you with the best quality of [chiropractic procedures in Cheyenne, WY] but also to respect your time and provide this care in an efficient manner.
